Premium crisp producer, Fairfields Farm Crisps, is preparing to turn up the heat this summer with the launch of a bold new limited edition Cajun Barbecue flavour crisp. It’s the brand’s first-ever ridge-cut crisp – full of big flavour and serious crunch. Available now, the flavour is rich and smoky with a bold twist on the brand’s award-winning handcooked crisp range. Inspired by classic barbecue cooking, its Cajun Barbecue heat is balanced with a sweet, tomato taste. Notes of paprika, garlic, onion and black pepper are balanced with a gentle Cajun heat and a tangy tomato barbecue twist, with a peppery finish. Like the rest of the Fairfields Farm range, the crisps are both vegan-friendly and gluten-free.
Perfect for summer sharing, the new flavour is made for everything from garden barbecues and picnics to festival weekends, World Cup watching parties and movie nights with friends. The new flavour was selected with the help of Fairfields Farm’s Secret Crisp Committee, a group of crisp lovers from across the UK recruited by the brand earlier this year to help shape the new limited-edition flavour. Over 1,000 people applied to take part, with selected applicants receiving mystery flavour samples delivered directly to their homes to taste, review and vote for their favourite. After careful deliberation, the smoky barbecue-inspired recipe emerged as the clear winner, earning its place as Fairfields Farm’s limited-edition flavour for summer 2026. Early feedback praised its “really strong flavour”, “smoky, tomato warmth” and “excellent crunch and texture”.

Fairfields Farm grows its own potatoes, cooks, seasons and packs the crisps on-site at their UK farm based in Essex, helping ensure quality and freshness in every pack.

Robert and Laura Strathern, co-founders of Fairfields Farm, commented: “We wanted to create the ultimate summer sharing crisp – something full of bold barbecue flavour with just the right amount of warmth and crunch. The new ridge-cut style makes these crisps even more moreish, and perfect for everything from picnics and barbecues to big nights in watching and celebrating big events with friends and family.”

The limited-edition Cajun Barbecue flavour is available now in 150g sharing packs via the Fairfields Farm website and coming soon to East of England Co-op stores and selected farm shops. Hurry, the flavour will only be available for a limited time while stocks last.
