Newly qualified Police Dog Pablo has completed his first month as a serving cash, drugs and weapons recovery dog.

PD Pablo and dog handler, Pc Amanda Pollard, have completed a total of eight searches in their first month protecting the streets of Essex. The searches have been conducted in vehicles, gardens, houses and have taken them all over the county to Chelmsford, Harlow, Basildon, Wickford and Canvey Island.

Pc Amanda Pollard and PD Pablo used the skills they learnt from their recent training courses and Amanda’s experience across 11 years to conduct the searches. During one particular search of a vehicle in Loughton, Pablo found two wraps of cocaine. A 19 year old man from Ongar was arrested and received a caution for possession of Class A drugs.

Pc Amanda Pollard, Dog Handler at the Dog Section, said: “Pablo is doing really well. He has eagerly taken to the role and is a great addition to our dog section.”
