Back for its seventh consecutive year, British Beauty Week – a week-long celebration of the British beauty industry’s creativity, innovation, and global influence announces iconic mother daughter duo Jerry Hall and Georgia May Jagger as its 2025 Ambassadors. Together, they will champion the British Beauty Council’s mission to raise awareness of the sector’s cultural and economic impact, and to ensure it continues to thrive for generations to come.
Jerry Hall, one of the world’s most recognisable models and actresses, has been a defining figure in fashion and beauty for over five decades. Georgia May Jagger, model, designer, founder of May Botanicals and co-founder of Bleach London, represents a new era of British creativity, known for her advocacy around wellbeing and self-expression.
Together, the pair embody the cross-generational influence and innovation that make British beauty unique. As Ambassadors, they will collaborate with the British Beauty Council throughout the week to spotlight the people, brands, and ideas driving the industry’s future from sustainable innovation to skills development and social mobility.
“We are so pleased to appoint Jerry and Georgia May at British Beauty Week Ambassadors for 2025, expanding on Georgia May’s role as Wellbeing Ambassador. Beauty has been intrinsic to both of their careers, in the same way that it is for so many of the cultural icons that shape the creative industries in the UK. Their appointment not only reiterates the power of beauty for shaping identity but also showcases both the intersection of beauty and fashion and the intergenerational power of our £30.4bn industry” – Millie Kendall OBE, Founder and CEO of the British Beauty Council.
“I am honoured to join the British Beauty Council as an ambassador for British Beauty Week, especially alongside my daughter, Georgia May. Beauty – the products, the makeup artists, hair stylists – has been intrinsic to my career, in fact it’s provided the very essence of my work. From signature looks to countless magazine covers beauty has acted as the foundation of my professional identity and enabled me to tell a story through photographs.
I am continuously inspired by the intergenerational nature of this sector. I was learning beauty tips from my own mother, and now I’ve had the joy of watching my daughters forge their own incredible paths. It’s this creativity that I want to champion this British Beauty Week” – Jerry Hall, British Beauty Week Ambassador.
“I am delighted to be supporting the British Beauty Council as British Beauty Week Ambassador. For me, beauty has always been more than just makeup or hair, it’s been a powerful source of self-expression and confidence. From being on set to founding my own brand, beauty and the people that work in it have been incredibly influential in my life.
The British beauty sector is a powerhouse and this British Beauty Week is all about celebrating them and their futures. I am delighted to be working with the Council to ensure our industry is not as frivolous, but as a vital part of our culture, our confidence, and our economy” – Georgia May Jagger, British Beauty Week Wellbeing Ambassador.
