Talliston House & Gardens wins The Little Treasures of Britain 2020 award at the Group Travel Awards 2020, celebrating the very best suppliers to the group travel industry. London,

At an exciting pop-up TV channel the awards were broadcast live for Celebrate Group Travel Day from a London studio on Thursday 3rd September 2020. These awards celebrated the very best suppliers to the group travel industry so for an ex-council house in Great Dunmow to win alongside Blenheim Palace and British Airways is something quite extraordinary.

THE AWARD
The title of the award is The Little Treasures of Britain and was sponsored by Discover Britain’s Delightful Towns. This award honours attractions that are off the beaten track, lesser-known gems that are either created or preserved by the passion of a group or enthusiastic individuals who have worked hard over many year to preserve an aspect of our heritage.

GTO Magazine’s editorial director Peter Stonham presented the award. This year Peter had the privilege of visiting the remarkable house & gardens on a remarkable occasion. He was one of the guests at Talliston’s Faerie Masquerade event in January 2020 marking John Trevillian’s last day living at the house & gardens.

Peter Stonham: “I went there and it’s absolutely fantastic. John Trevillian’s personal vision has been turned into a fantastic attraction to visit. I went to the party that he put on when he was leaving and it was wonderful. I’ve never been into such a magic place.”
