Since the announcement that an app strictly for the use of conservatives had been given a 3 Million USD (£2.3MM) valuation. The news world has been a buzz especially throughout the UK where for years conservative thought and ideological was immediately heralded as daft, drab, and inferior.

As we reach the close of the year, the Right Hook App, in recent months, has been the most talked about and anticipated app in the UK.

It even has the square mile a buzz with its high valuation and having met their Series A funding goal. We talked with London school of economics professor Dong Lou he said “that the valuation comes primarily in part from that of the 32MM USD (£24MM) in revenue received by Right Hook’s sole competition, Righter within its first year. Going on to say that with the in-app purchase plans Right Hook will have, he can see why Investors are chomping at the bit to get a piece of the action. “If the Right Hook App does only ten per cent of that number they would be doing over expectations.” Said Henry Smythe, former investment banker and analyst for Lloyds Bank.

What makes Right Hook so special?

From what we can gather, Righter was launched and designed primarily for trump supporters. Whereas Right Hook claims that it is intended to be used by not just trump supporters but conservatives worldwide. Director of Communications for Right Hook, Rosie Alvarez said that the app will launch beta in key cities in late January. Such cities as DC, NYC, London, and Raleigh-Durham with more coming. The app will feature true verifications of political standing and also filter out the “looky-loos”, by disabling screenshots and featuring in-app calling and video chat. This added layer of security, of course, will come at the premium price of 15.99USD (£12.22). According to Alvarez, the premium user will have the option to only speak with verified and active conservative voters and have access to discounts at verified “conservidate safe places” Already the countdown site that has seen over 300k visitors, and collected over 95,000 emails.

“What makes us unique is our openness to conservatives across the globe not just trump supporters. Also, our dedication to the overall protection of our users through our built-in features.” Said Alvarez. Stating “what is most anticipated is our forum sections where free thought can be expressed by conservatives free of “blocking” or “banning” Each member of the forum would have to pay 4.99 USD ( £3.81) and pass our voter registration test to enter.”

“Social media and news outlets across the world have been instrumental in getting the word out. We are beyond thrilled and excited about the response, it was not expected.” Said App founder and CEO Jared Picot.

“The app was just an idea I had when I became discouraged looking for love myself on the apps. Being called a nazi and racist. Being accused of being some of the most depraved things for just seeking love got me depressed.” Picot goes on to say “All I ever wanted was the love I experienced growing up between my parents, true love, unconditional love, the type of love that endured some of the roughest times and built a foundation of strength in myself and my siblings.” Picot saying “to be ostracized because of being committed to any particular political party shouldn’t happen. “

Right Hook promises to be an environment that is open and accepting but will have measures in place to protect its users, to ensure no one uses the app to try to shame or harm a person’s reputation on social media.
