The Kings Head Hotel is situated in the heart of Rochester ; Looking from our family room window we can see the historic Rochester Castle creating the feeling that you’ve stepped back into time.

When first entering the The Kings Head Hotel I Was overwhelmed by the art . the walls from bottom to top are covered in the most extradiornary hand painted Charles Dickens characters and if you look close enough you may even see some modern characters hiding in the art.

We were greeted with big smiles and was given a mini tour . This was very informative. The rooms are not numbered , They have been given names of the characters out of the Charles Dickens novels ; infusing your imagination.

Our Family room has everything you would of expect with extra home comforts .

All guests of the hotel receive a 25% discount for the food menu. We used the discount for our breakfast and was treated like Kings and Queens with waiter service.

The atmosphere was relaxing with the food being generous portions and succulent.
Stepping out of The Kings Head Hotel onto the old cobbled streets of Rochester leading you through a wealth of history , The tourist venues are within walking distance.

As a family we enjoyed the variety of places to visit ‘The Royal Engineers Museum to the Cathedral with all being at no cost . Making it accommodating for all with quirky little shops to match.
