Essex based, The Saffron Ice Cream Company, are delighted to announce a supply of their artisan dairy ice cream and vegan sorbet to National Trust properties in the local area.

Approached at the beginning of the year by a representative for National Trust, the local ice cream company have been entrusted with the supply of handmade ice cream and sorbet to 5 local properties this season and have been proudly supplying since May 2019 from a family farm in Saffron Walden.

National Trust, which is one of Britain’s biggest organisations with 5.6 members in 2019, were looking for a range of artisan products and found the local company was just what they were looking for. The Saffron Ice Cream Company specialise in producing artisan ice cream which uses a wealth of natural ingredients from fellow local micro producers. The quality and honesty of the products produced, coupled with the endearing story behind the brand and the ‘British countryside’ flavour range were a strong fit for the sustainable aspirations of catering within the National Trust.

Dominic Parry, Managing Director, commented ‘We are so very proud to share this news and take great pride in producing for National Trust. It’s great that quality, passion and story are still so important to these organisations. The comments we have received so far have been very positive indeed and we can’t wait to build our relationship further’.

The company are currently producing for Flatford, Hatfield Forest, Lavenham Guildhall, Melford Hall and Dunstable Downs, and hope to increase their work for the 2020 season.
