Are you desperately looking for cash? Do you need money so badly that you’re Googling things like “how to make money fast” or “how to make $200 in a week”? Well I’ve been there, my friend, and I can tell you that there are a plethora of ways you can make money, both online and in person. At one point I was combing sites for odd jobs listings, just waiting for some way to make a little dough so I could afford a little dough to feed myself. Granted, some of these methods aren’t going to lead to careers or anything, but they will surely enable you make some cash, which is what you need – right?
Sell What You Have
It’s time to go through all of your belongings. It might be summer now, but spring cleaning is what you’re going to need to do if you need to make money fast. What you’re going to need is a decent camera (a cell phone’s will do – if you don’t have one, borrow a friend’s), an internet connection (if you don’t have Internet where you are, public libraries have computers with internet you can use) and some items to sell. And don’t limit yourself or be stingy.
Look through your clothes first. On sites like Depop, Poshmark, and Thredup, you can post your flyest used clothing for others to peruse. And if those sites take too long, get on apps like Letgo and Offerup. Both let you post any sort of item, and people can meet you physically to get them. That way you not only get your cash quickly, but you also skip the hassle of shipping items to buyers.
If you really need money fast, you can sell your car for cash on these apps, or Craigslist obviously. If walking on foot or using public transport is an option for you, then ditch the car. Within a few weeks of walking, you won’t miss the traffic. Just make sure you have the title and all relevant accident information.
You can also sell your plasma, and make nearly $400 a month doing so. Just Google “selling plasma” with your zip code – you’ll be surprised by the options you’ll find.
Market Your Skills
Can you paint? Dance? Sing? Do silly voices? Write? Do you have a passion for cooking? What about musical instruments, or fly fishing? If you can think of any talent or skill you have that you can prove your ability in, think about signing up for freelancing sites like Upwork or Fiverr. You can set your own prices for your time, but it’s recommended you provide proof of your skills. Many people use freelancing sites, so you’re going to need to standout among the competition. If you do find clients, though, you can make a pretty penny.
Try Working Online
There are a number of unskilled online positions available for people. These include usability testing, search engine/ad evaluations, filling out surveys, and micro tasks. If you Google each of these specific terms, you can find a list of relevant websites and pay rates. A few I would recommend are Appen, Lionsbridge, Amazon MTurk, Usertesting.com, and Prolific.
I’d also recommend checking out Reddit’s r/WorkOnline. You can find a lot of opportunities there if you can grab them before other people. Just be quick, and stay sharp – opportunities are constantly coming your way via the Internet. You just have to be on the lookout for them.
