Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, which has support centres across Essex, offers a variety of services for those who have been affected by cancer including counselling, massages, reflexology and support groups.

The donation from Barratt and David Wilson Homes will go towards sustaining and expanding the essential support services for individuals and families affected by cancer.

Gemma Woodhurst, Community Fundraiser at Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, said: “We were genuinely thrilled and deeply grateful when Barratt and David Wilson Homes reached out to inform us that we had been chosen to receive its generous donation.

“Such acts of corporate kindness make a significant impact on our ability to support those living locally who have been affected by cancer. It’s heartening to see businesses like Barratt and David Wilson Homes actively contributing to support a local cause.

“We do not receive government funding and instead depend on the generosity of our clients, supporters, community groups, local companies, grants, and trusts to sustain our mission.

The developer’s donation was made as part of its Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Foundation, which is run by its parent company, Barratt Developments. It is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.

Tom Wright, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We’re proud to support Helen Rollason Cancer Charity as it’s a cause close to our hearts.

“Witnessing the positive impact this charity has on families facing unique challenges is truly inspiring. We are honoured to play a part in its journey and contribute to the mission to offer assistance and resources.”
