Essex County Fire and Rescue Service launch wholetime firefighter campaign

0

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS) is inviting people to apply to become wholetime firefighters.

Recruitment will open on Tuesday 16 April at 6.30am, and will run for one week, or until 1200 people apply.

The announcement follows last year’s wholetime recruitment drive, which was the service’s first in nine years.

The recruitment campaign will celebrate the modern day firefighter and highlight the key role they play in their community, challenging outdated stereotypes and myths.

The initial stage of recruitment will involve completing a short form to ensure you are eligible to apply and meet the basic criteria.

After this there will be a series of online tests, personal qualities assessment (PQA) application, followed by a fitness test, interview and occupational health test.
