Andy Murray has sadly had to pull out of the Miami Open due to a right elbow injury. Whilst it was hoped he may be able to play whilst wearing a supportive Elbow Sleeve, it has unfortunately come too soon for him and his elbow requires more rest. But despite his health condition, Murray is still our No.1. Here are some of his greatest moments both on and off the court.

Who could ever forget the US Open in 2012, where Murray beat the odds to become Britain’s first Grand Slam winner in 76 years after a fierce competition on the court against Novak Djokovic

Off the court, Murray is a philanthropist in his own right as he is credited with the launch of ‘Malaria No More’, which is a UK charity who work to end suffering and deaths from malaria. If that alone doesn’t do him justice, he managed to bag a cameo on BBC One’s Outnumbered in which he used his appearance to praise both the British and the Scottish.

Murray has also received various accolades for his work, including becoming the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year winner in 2013 whilst he also became a Freeman Of The City Of Sterling the following year.

And if you thought any of the above didn’t do him any justice, Murray also holds three Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals, a Davis Cup title and he is the recipient of a knighthood… so that’s Sir Andy to you!
