If Victoria Beckham is to receive an OBE for services to fashion and her charity work then the million dollar question is has she excelled in those areas and is she truly a leader in her field. Or is she just leveraging her husband’s celebrity status and riding on his coat tails. Would she have made it as a fashion designer if was wasn’t married to David?

To be fair she has won awards for her fashion work but is she really designing the cloths or just putting her name to them.

Yes she’s a United Nations AIDS ambassador too, but again how much work has she actually done or how much money has she donated to AIDS related charities?

There’s certainly lots of unanswered questions.

There are so many ‘extraordinary ordinary’ out there working tirelessly for charities and within their community that don’t get the recognition they deserve because they’re not in the public eye and noone bothers to nominate them. So if you know someone who you feel deserves an honour and they are not a globally recognised superstar, put them forward. You can nominate any worthy person for a gong but they have to be in it to win it.
