Alzheimer’s Society Chelmsford Memory Walk 2025 confirmed

People across the East of England are being invited to take part in this year’s Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walks, joining thousands across the UK walking together to help fund vital dementia support and groundbreaking research.

This Autumn, there are 12 walks across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including one at Hylands Park in Chelmsford on 4 October 2025. Individuals or groups can also organise their own Memory Walk when and where suits them.

Why: One in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Walk for those you love, those you’ve lost and for everyone living with dementia, the UK’s biggest killer. By taking part in Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walks, we can help to end the devastation caused by dementia.

The walks are open to all ages and abilities with routes ranging from 2km to 10km. They are free to sign up to and some welcome dog owners with their furry friends.

Together, we are help and hope for around one million people living with dementia in the UK including more than 100,000 people in the East of England, with over 2,800 of them based in Chelmsford alone. With a £160 fundraising target per person, every pound donated to Alzheimer’s Society helps to make a life-changing difference to people living with dementia.
