ACL Essex launches new courses on English Language Day

ACL Essex celebrated English Language Day on 23 April, by launching a new series of English courses. giving people the opportunity to improve their English skills and achieve their goals.

For English Language Day, adult education provider, ACL Essex has given people the chance to improve their English skills and achieve their goals. The sessions are ideal for people looking to improve their English language skills in everyday life and work, or to gain access to further, or higher education.

Lisa Jarentowski, Principal, ACL Essex said: “Good English language skills are essential to get on in life as they help to build self confidence in everyday situations. From writing emails to applying for jobs, helping children with their homework to filling in forms, the better your English skills the further you will go.

“Our courses help adults improve their language skills at any age, from any background. There are ACL Essex English courses all over the county, from Harwich to Harlow and online too.”

English Language courses starting soon include:

Everyday English: Read and Write with Confidence. Online starting 22 April for five lessons.
English Functional Skills. In person lessons working towards a qualification, countywide.
GCSE English. Countywide in person lessons starting in September, but available for booking now.
English – Focus on Spelling. A short online course starting on 5 June, connecting people with practical everyday tasks.
English courses are free to those who do not currently hold a grade C or 4 (or above) in the subject. ACL Essex’s courses allow learners to thrive and reach their potential.
