As part of the care home’s gardening club, residents have been crafting simple yet effective bird feeders using toilet paper rolls, peanut butter, and bird seeds. This hands-on activity not only encourages creativity and dexterity but also allows residents to contribute to the home’s gardens in a meaningful way.

“The bird feeders are a wonderful way for our residents to engage with nature while enjoying a crafting activity,” said Julie Barnard, Senior Activity Coordinator Godden Lodge. “Many of our residents love watching the birds visit the feeders from their lounges and bedrooms, bringing them joy and a sense of connection to the outdoors.”
