Saturday, 27th of September, marks national katsu curry day, and it is back and bigger than ever. wagamama’s most iconic dish will take centre stage with free katsu offered to students on the day. Exclusively for students and apprentices signed up to soul club*, the first 50 students in line at every wagamama across the UK on Saturday, 27th September**, will be able to score a katsu curry for free. Students can claim their katsu by signing up to wagamama’s loyalty app, soul club, and showing their student ID.
wagamama is also giving one student the chance to win free katsu for an entire year. Leading the campaign for a second year as president of soul club students is online sensation GK Barry, who is launching #KatsuConfessions – a search for the sauciest freshers’ antics. To be in with a chance of winning wagamama for a year, students will need to stitch the GK Barry video from wagamama’s TikTok with their most embarrassing and sauciest story, and use #KatsuConfessions to submit an entry.***
GK Barry says: “We are levelling up our iconic national katsu curry day this September and I’m giving away a whole year of free katsu to the fresher with a story as saucy as our curry. After all, what’s uni without a few legendary stories to go with your legendary katsu? And because I’m all about making memories and meals, I’ll be giving away 50 free katsu curries in every restaurant across the UK to the first 50 students in line. So, grab your mates, get your stories ready, and let’s make this national katsu curry day one for the books!”
Students are invited to join soul club students, wagamama’s loyalty programme. For more information on soul club, visit: https://www.wagamama.com/soul-club
