Local business owner Richard Willis, from Billericay-based marketing agency
Attract
& Engage, is swapping his laptop for dance shoes as he prepares to compete in the star studded Strictly Air Ambulance
live event taking place Saturday 9th
March at The Brentwood Centre in aid of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT). Richard, a dancing rookie, will by partnered by Chelmsford-based professional dancer Jody De’Ath. The pair will compete for the coveted Glitter Ball alongside four other couples,
but the bigger prize is raising much needed funds for this vital local charity.

Richard says: “I have zero dancing or theatrical experience so the challenge of training for, and competing in Strictly is one of
the hardest of my life! My late-Dad was a keen biker, and Essex Air Ambulance was very close to his heart, so the pressure is on. I’m determined to raise as much money as possible to support the pre-hospital emergency services EHAAT provides to our local
communities – and embarrass my 12-year-old daughter of course!”

Returning on Saturday 9th March for its 12th year, tickets are now on sale for Strictly Air Ambulance 2024, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance’s
most glamorous night of the year!

This spectacular event is taking place at the Brentwood Centre in Essex and will see performances from celebrity professional dancers
Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Nadiya and Kai will also form part of the judging panel, joining EHAAT CEO, Jane Gurney, Pro Latin dancer, Ben Milan Vega, and head judge Phil Meacham of Chelmsford Dance Centre.

This enchanting evening promises to be a dazzling showcase of talent and will also have an extra bit of added sparkle brought by
the evening’s hosts, EHAAT’s Celebrity Ambassador Lisa Snowdon, and ITV Presenter David Whiteley.

EHAAT’s CEO, Jane Gurney, is delighted that Strictly Air Ambulance is back for a 12th year and said:

“This is a brilliant opportunity to enjoy some spectacular dancing and entertainment, whilst at the same time helping us to continue
our vital work as a charity across the region.”
