London Southend Airport has today announced an expansion of its winter flying programme with the addition of extra flights in February to Geneva with partner easyJet. The low-cost airline is improving its schedule with extra Sunday services in February, in addition to its existing flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

With the winter season in full swing, the airport is offering its biggest winter programme of routes since 2019 with airline partner, easyJet. The attractive destinations, which include Alicante, Amsterdam, Paris CDG, Geneva and Grenoble, offer passengers a great mix of winter sunshine, city breaks and ski.
“We welcome this mid-season sprinkling of extra ski flights to Geneva being provided by our partner easyJet,” said John Upton, CEO of London Southend Airport. “Whether it’s getting to Les Alpes D’Huez or Les Deux Alpes on our Grenoble flights or Morzine or Chamonix using our expanded Geneva operations we’ve got you covered when it comes to the slopes this winter. The addition of these services indicates that there is robust demand from the people in the East of London and Essex to getaway on a ski break from their quick and easy local airport.”
Passengers can travel to London Southend by train in a mere 43 minutes from Stratford in London (with connections to the Elizabeth Line) or just 52 minutes from London Liverpool Street, before walking only 100 paces to the terminal door for a quick and easy airport experience.

The announcement follows the successful return of multiple routes from London Southend Airport as the award-winning airport operates its largest winter schedule in four years. The airport’s roll call of airlines and destinations was recently improved following the arrival of Aeroitalia with its services to Milan Bergamo from 25 March this summer, joining existing airline and tour operators – easyJet, Balkan Holidays and Santa’s Lapland – meaning that this year the airport will offer destinations in Spain, Portugal, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Bulgaria and Italy.
