KFC LAUNCH ALL NEW SIGNATURE FRIES

0

The Colonel has heard the calls of the coop and boy has he delivered with finally finger lickin’ good fries! KFC’s all-new Signature Fries have been given the ultimate revamp and flavoured with a delicious combination of herbs and spices, inspired by their iconic chicken – seasoning so good, you won’t want to take your eyes off the fries!

While KFC typically believes in the power of sharing, they also know some things are best kept to yourself. New research from KFC has revealed that 42% of people rarely share food, with fries being one of the top four foods people think are too delicious to share. 16% even admit that they would physically step in to stop someone stealing their fries – so they’ve released the world’s first Fry Swatter, the must-have tool to keep those frisky fry-snatchers at bay.

We all have that one friend who says they don’t want fries with their order, yet their eyes begin wandering when your fries arrive. The poll of 2,000 adults found that over 50% of Brits suffer from food envy, with almost a quarter unable to resist temptation and asking for a bite.

To add insult to injury, one in 10 Brits say they never share their food – and consider pals who plate-pinch one of life’s biggest bugbears.

To combat fry-by-night thieves, the Fry Swatter is this season’s tastiest tool, perfectly designed to combat those wandering hands: 30cm long to give you extra reach, needed to catch pesky pinchers from any angle.

Despite a cheeky 27% admitting to snatching chips off someone else’s plate when they’re not looking, when it comes to sharing their own dinner, 37% stated they have ordered what they like and want to have it all to themselves.

What’s more, almost 50% said the most annoying thing about eating a meal with others is when they steal food off their plate without asking – to the extent that three in 10 would even BUY someone a meal rather than share their own. 15% even found themselves in a full-blown argument after someone has stolen fries after declaring they’re not hungry.

The Fry Swatter will be available to pre-order from the 9th October on the KFC Shop https://kfcshop.co.uk, for a £1 donation going to the KFC Youth Foundation.

Kate Wall, Strategy & Innovation Director at KFC, commented: “The people have spoken! Sharing fries can be a touchy subject, especially when it comes to our brand-new Signature Fries – inspired by our iconic herbs and spices, they’re just too good to share. The research proves that fry-snatching is one of the nation’s biggest gripes, so we challenged ourselves to create something to stop them once and for all. Our fries are finally finger lickin’ good – so good, you won’t want to share!”

Sceptical about how good they really are? Well, the Colonel isn’t, which is why KFC are picking up the bill and giving all customers the chance to try one portion of regular Signature Fries for FREE (usually £1.79). Yeah, you read that right, FREE! Free fries can be redeemed at the front counter by scanning a QR code from the KFC App. Please see kfc.co.uk for full T&Cs.
