The countdown has begun to Heritage Live’s huge outdoor summer concert series taking place in the stunning grounds of Audley End House & Gardens.

Taking place between 4th – 13th August, the six shows feature a stellar line-up set in some of England’s most beautiful scenery, surrounded by rolling hills in the heart of the Essex countryside.

Kicking off the concerts will be BJÖRN AGAIN. Dubbed the ‘Best ABBA Show in the World’, BJÖRN AGAIN have gained mass appeal since their inception in 1988 and have been acknowledged as initiating the worldwide ABBA revival. Created by Australian musician and manager Rod Stephen, BJÖRN AGAIN has registered 5,500 performances in 75 countries. They will be joined by very special guests The Real Thing, Boney M, and Saffron Walden local favourites, Miss Disco.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline on Saturday 5th August, having undoubtedly reached iconic status in the British music scene. After the demise of Oasis, Noel Gallagher created NGHFB fin 2011, releasing their eponymous debut album and have continued to go from strength to strength. Their show at Audley End will feature some of the band’s biggest anthems along with Oasis classics and material from their most recent album ‘Council Skies’. Special guests for the show will be The Zutons and ex-Kasabian frontman, Tom Meighan.

Iconic legend Sir Tom Jones will return to Audley End on 6th August following on from his headline show last year, after demand in 2022 could have seen the concert sold out several times over. The Saffron Walden Reporter commented on the show ‘…he’s still got that powerful voice with a set spanning more than six decades of hits.’ With a diverse career spanning over 60 years, Tom Jones has gone from strength to strength, with his seminal and ubiquitous hits such as ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘Kiss’, ‘Delilah’, ‘What’s New Pussycat’, ‘I’ll Never Fall In Love Again’, ‘Sex Bomb’, and more. Support for the show will come from STORRY, Tamzene, and Germein.

Soft Cell will headline on Friday 11th August, with a concert that will be a seismic synth-pop spectacle bringing together a line-up of three acts who continue to release ground-breaking new music. Soft Cell (Marc Almond and Dave Ball) released four UK Top 20 albums between 1981-1984, spawning hits such as Memorabilia’, ‘Torch’, ‘Say Hello, Wave Goodbye’; and of course their boundless, era-defining No.1 hit ‘Tainted Love’. The duo performed to a sold-out crowd at The O2 in London in 2018 for what was intended to be a farewell concert, but instead led to the release of acclaimed new album ‘*Happiness Not Included’, which entered the UK album charts at Number 7 last year. Special guests for the show will feature the legendary OMD and Heaven 17, with DJ’s Reader’s Wifes getting the party started from 3pm.

12th August will see Sugababes headline Audley End for a huge pop party. The era-defying, chart-topping British sensations are one of the biggest-selling British girl groups of all-time. With six Number One singles, millions of global sales and multiple multi-platinum albums, they now continue their stellar return with rave live reviews from venues and festivals across the country. Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan defined an era in British pop with their smooth vocals and magical harmonies offset by garage and alternative soundscapes, and hits like ‘Overload, ‘Round Round’, ‘Freak Like Me’. Special guests for the show will be Sam Ryder, as well as DJ sets from Take That’s Howard Donald and All Saints’ Melanie Blatt.

Razorlight will headline the finale of Heritage Live on 13th August. The London quartet formed in 2002 when frontman Johnny Borrell joined up with Swedish Guitarist Björn Ågnen. With engaging hooks, the band quickly amassed a slew of hits from their 2004 debut Up All Night, and its even more successful 2006 self-titled follow up. Tours with Queen and Oasis introduced the quartet to the masses and single ‘America’ gave the band their first UK No.1. single. Following a series of line-up changes Borrell remained the only original member of the band and put Razorlight on hold in 2011. Now, Borrell and long-time drummer Andy Burrows have patched up their differences, and make up the group’s current line-up along with original bassist Carl Dalemo who has also re-joined the band alongside Ågnen. Special guests for the event will be Embrace, The Feeling, and Toploader.
