LEGOLAND® WINDSOR RESORT CELEBRATES GLASTONBURY WITH AMAZING MINILAND SCENE

Ahead of Glastonbury’s ticket resale next week, the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort has recreated the popular LEGO® Glastonbury Festival scene in its world-famous Miniland attraction – complete with a LEGO Miniland figure of this year’s headliner, Elton John.

The Resort’s talented Model Making team has created a 10cm high LEGO creation of the iconic pop legend, Elton John – quite literally a Tiny Dancer – as he is set to headline the famous Pyramid Stage this year.

The Miniland festival scene takes every little detail into account, from miniature portaloos, tents, festival-goers mud sliding, and even a tiny recreation of the giant colourful letters that spell out the name of the iconic Somerset-based festival, first inaugurated in 1970. The scene took model makers 840 hours to create and is made up of around 23,916 LEGO bricks with 8,580 used to create the new 65cm high Pyramid Stage.

Miniland is one of the most popular attractions at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort which features 12 scenes created from a total of 41 million individual bricks.
For families that want that festival feeling but didn’t manage to get Glastonbury tickets, LEGOLAND Windsor is launching its first kids’ festival; SPRINGFEST. The theme park will be in full bloom from May 13th to June 5th and will host a variety of exciting family entertainment. There will be jugglers and circus performers, as well as some favourite LEGOLAND® Characters.
Bumblebee Girl and Lady Bug Girl are two new characters joining the Resort for the Spring festivities. Plus, without LEGO building, no LEGOLAND Festival would be complete. All guests will be able to contribute to a LEGO flower wall and even pick up a LEGO bumblebee to build at home.

SPRINGFEST concludes with a weekend extravaganza during which Kidz Pop will perform live on Miniland Stage across the May Bank Holiday Weekend (30th May – 2nd June).
Guests can see the new Glastonbury Festival Miniland scene on display until the end of the summer.
