Former Love Islander Finley Tapp Visits Football Academies To Discuss Transition To Professional Game

Former Love Island winner, Finley Tapp, has been upfront and honest about the struggles he faced as a footballer when when was 18, not only physically, but mentally as well. He started playing for MK Dons when he was seven years old, and he stayed there for the next 11 years.

Despite dedicating his life to the game, he only made a handful of appearances as a professional footballer after his transition from the academy. This, along with other pressures made Finn fall out of love with his passion.

He then signed for Oxford City, but his career took a different turn when appearing on the first winter series of Love Island at the beginning of 2020, which he then went onto win. Since then, one of his goals has been to use his platform and speak to academy and youth players about his experience in football and how his mindset could have impacted his career.

He has recently started giving presentations to clubs to be another voice for younger players looking to make that move from academy to professional.
