Buntingford’s annual Classic Car Show has received a generous £1,000 donation from local housebuilder Dandara, who’s Keeper’s Chase development is located on Aspenden Road, Buntingford. The Classic Car Show took place on Saturday 4th September.

Founded in 2000, the Buntingford Classic Car Show is a popular local event, attracting a range of rare and exclusive vehicles which have in previous years included a Green Goddess Fire engine, a £3.5 million Ferrari, a 1904 Humber Swing Sweat Tonneau (the last surviving car of its kind) as well as the 440 Dodge Monaco Bluesmobile from The Blues Brothers film. With over 250 classic and unusual cars, motorbikes, tractors, and scooters taking to Buntingford’s Tudor High Street, the event is a must-see for vehicle enthusiasts across the UK.

After more than a year of financial uncertainty due to the pandemic, Dandara’s generous contribution allowed the show to return last Saturday. The donation primarily went towards live music acts, first aiders and marshals.

Graham Bonner, Event Co-ordinator for the Buntingford Chamber of Commerce who organise the event, commented: “We are grateful to Dandara for their support which helped us to make the 2021 Buntingford Classic Car Show an unforgettable event. Without donations such as Dandara’s the event would have simply not been able to go ahead.”

Simon Pendlebury, Sales and Marketing Director for Dandara Northern Home Counties, commented: “We are proud to support such a superb local event thanks to our Keeper’s Chase development. We hope that our donation helped Buntingford car show to put on a great event for the community.”
