Essex-based housing association CHP has once again been awarded the highest available G1 and V1 grading from the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) for its governance arrangements and financial viability.

The assessments are reviewed annually to show how well housing providers are meeting the standards set by the RSH. Achieving the highest possible grading confirms that the regulator has confidence in the way CHP manages and governs its business.

As an organisation CHP is committed to meeting the continued strong demand for good quality homes, by building more new properties for affordable rent and shared ownership. Last year it completed 375 new homes and currently has another 650 homes under construction.

CHP is also committed to consistently delighting customers and continuing to invest in its 10,450 existing homes. It has recently launched a new Customer Engagement Strategy, which aims to ensure that as many customers as possible get the opportunity to have their say on the services it provides.

Mary Gibbons, Chief Executive of CHP said: “We are delighted to maintain the highest possible gradings from the regulator. These ratings are an endorsement of all the hard work we do to ensure we are well governed and financially secure. This has been a challenging year, but we remain in great shape to deliver on our goals of providing more high-quality affordable homes and great services for our customers.”
