With summer officially here and a heatwave sweeping across the country, Brits will be reaching for their sunglasses, and it appears some of the nation’s pets are getting in on the action too.
Tic Watches, the watch and sunglasses specialist, has scoured the nation for the most brilliant and hilarious photos of our furry friends wearing shades.
Claire Burke, 55 from Skipton, was crowned the winner of the competition for an adorable photo of Lily, her nine-year-old Whippet. From the size of her smile, Lily is clearly loving the summer months and is rocking her tortoiseshell glasses.
Claire said: “Lily loves getting out and about in the Yorkshire sunshine, as you can see from the joy in her face! She’s a wonderful dog and totally deserves her recognition – we’re thrilled to win.”
Having beaten over 130 other entries to take top spot, Claire will now receive a new Tommy Hilfiger watch from the Tic Watches range, worth up to £300.

4. Strippey – Lop Eared Rabbit cross

Strippey is one sunny bunny and loves nothing more than chilling out with owner Rosanne.
