On Thursday 7th May at 6.30pm, Aperol is inviting the nation to join a live, #AperolAperitivo Hour on Instagram, to kick start the Bank Holiday weekend. In true Italian tradition, Aperitivo is the post-work, pre-dinner sweet spot that brings friends and family together over refreshing drinks and light bites.

To show how it’s done, Aperol’s resident Italian Aperitivo expert, Paolo Tonellotto and the Head Chef at the Italian Embassy in London, Danilo Cortellini will host a session live from their own kitchens. The pair will be bringing the Aperitivo moment to life virtually, with Paolo showcasing how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz* serve and Danilo creating Pallotte Cacio e Ova, a famous Italian dish made using simple ingredients**.

Bartender and brand ambassador, Paolo Tonellotto said, “I am so excited to be bringing people together alongside Danilo to start off the Bank Holiday the Italian way. Whether a loyal Aperol Spritz fan or trying the recipe for the first time, now is the perfect occasion to add a little Spritz to the Bank Holiday weekend.”

Join live on Instagram at @aperolspritzuk to sip Aperol, cook along and ask questions to the experts. As the easiest cocktail to make well and the easiest to make badly, Paolo will be demonstrating how to make the perfect serve. So, raise a glass and share a nationwide virtual cheers whilst learning how to host the ultimate Aperol Aperitivo for friends and family!
