Thanks to a series of new business wins, leading Wix-based employee research consultancy, The Survey Initiative, has appointed a Research Executive to its team.

Freddy Gravener, 26, joins the organisation after completing a Masters in Urban Economic Development from University College London, he also has a degree in Economics from SOAS University of London. Freddy honed his research skills during his academic career, which included a trip to Peru to study sustainable transport. Born in Harwich he was keen for his first step on the career ladder to be close to home, a place he has championed since a teenager. Freddy explains: “After University I was keen to follow a career in research, I saw an opportunity with The Survey Initiative, just a few miles away, and it proved the ideal position. I’ve long been a supporter of Harwich and have spent the past few years campaigning for a new skatepark for the town. In 2018 my efforts paid off when a new park was opened for the community to enjoy.“

He added: “The Survey Initiative is a thriving employee research consultancy with clients throughout the world. I’m looking forward to understanding the challenges of employee research and being part of the company’s drive for further growth.”

The Survey Initiative was set-up over ten years ago to create bespoke employee surveys and employee consultation services to big brands and SMEs. The company specialises in employee engagement, 360-degree surveys, staff surveys and employee empowerment surveys. During the past 12 months the firm has won a series of new clients including: English National Opera, Care UK, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Historic England, Institute of Cancer Research, Pay.UK and Steer Group.

Gary Cattermole, Director, The Survey Initiative, is excited about the businesses plans for 2020 and keen to welcome Freddy to the organisation. He says: “We’re delighted to have Freddy on board. He has a lot of experience in quantitative and qualitative research techniques and I’m sure he’ll prove to be a strong asset to The Survey Initiative. 2020 will be a big year for us, we’re rolling out new research software, which will enable us to break into a wide range of organisational research sectors.”
