Regent’s Place Honours International Women’s Day With Unique Series Of Events

This March, Regent’s Place is hosting a unique series of complimentary events in honour of the International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8 March 2020.

Kicking off IWD events on Wednesday 4th March, author and leading psychologist Suzy Reading will host a talk and networking session on the crucial need for self-care amongst women. The session will equip guests with the necessary techniques to be more time and energy efficient allowing more time for themselves.

The IWD special series also includes a Gender Equality Exhibition on 9th and 10th March, showcasing the works of local school and centre for autism, Netley Primary. The exhibition includes projects from both science and arts driven classes, and a talk by parents and local professionals who’ll speak about their career pathways, and overcoming barriers.

For those looking to delve deeper into female health and nutrition, specialist Michelle Walsh from New th
Body & Soul will host a lunch on 11 March exploring the roles protein, carbs and fats have within the female body and the importance of blood sugar on hormonal balances.

An Introduction To Self Defence And Personal Safety on the evening of 11th of March will complete the series of events. During this free session, attendees will learn different philosophies around self defence, the importance of body awareness, and practical skills to improve confidence.

Forming part of The Sessions, a monthly programme of creative and fitness classes, workshops and talks at Regent’s Place, visitors can experience an exciting range of events long after International Women’s Day.
