London Southend Airport donates care packages to NHS

NHS workers are struggling to support COVID-19 patients and people in need of medical assistance.

London Southend Airport is offering care packages to these key staff, many of whom are unable to get to a supermarket or find items to get by. We have gathered essential items to give to NHS staff at Southend and Basildon hospitals as well as the ambulance base on Aviation Way.

Today, many will join to give thanks to the NHS. At 20:00, communities will applaud these key workers from their homes.

Glyn Jones, CEO, London Southend Airport, “We have 75 care packages which will be delivered over the next few days to help as many NHS staff as possible. It is a time to pull together and support key workers on the front line of the fight against COVID-19. I am proud that the airport is able to play a small role in providing that support.”
