With the countdown to Christmas now officially underway, Chessington World of Adventures Resort has been treating some of its Zoo’s 1,000 residents to some festive delights.

Primate Keepers have treated Chessington’s Western Lowland gorillas to a 6ft tailored Christmas tree, carefully decorated with aubergine snowmen, sweet potato candy canes, leek crackers, butternut squash and swede stars, apple baubles, carrot icicles and grape trimmings.

While elsewhere at the Surrey Resort, Squirrel monkeys have been acting out their own Love Actually moments from the iconic festive film, alongside one cheeky owl who’s paid a visit to Father Christmas.
