Harlow SOUP, a community fundraising event, is seeking new submissions for its next event on Thursday 29th August, to be held at Pemberley Academy. Project submissions can be anything and come from any individual, organisation or charity; the only rule is that the project must benefit Harlow in some way.

Project submissions can be made through the website www.harlowsoup.co.uk and will then be considered by the Harlow SOUP committee to present in front of an audience of community diners at the next Harlow SOUP event on Thursday 29th August at Pemberley Academy, Harlow.

Projects will have four minutes to pitch their idea, and can take four questions from audience members, after which time attendees will decide on who to vote for. The event alsoincludes homemade soups, breads, salads, cakes and tea &coffee plus live music.

All money made on the door, which is “pay what you feel” is awarded to the winning project who has gained the most votes by soup diners on the evening. Previous projects have received over £600 towards their project, as well as a chance to meet other local community projects and raise awareness about their project.

Previous Harlow SOUP winners have included: Pact for Autism, Butterfly Volunteers, Streets 2 Homes, ASL (Aspire Support Learn), Plants, Pots & Wellies and Harlow Rock School who received hundreds of pounds towards their respective projects.
