An exhibition focusing on compassion, kindness and a desire to help those in need regardless of their religion or heritage will come to Basildon as part of Interfaith Week.
A Code of Honour tells the story of the Muslim population of Albania, who risked their lives to ensure the safety of their Jewish neighbours during the German occupation in the Second World War. The exhibition, compiled by the Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, will be on display in the Towngate Theatre from Monday 12 November to Friday 16 November.
The Mayor of Basildon, Cllr David Dadds, will sign a Book of Commitment at 11am on Tuesday 13 November before viewing the exhibition. The book will also be open to members of the public to sign throughout Interfaith Week.
