Essex Police is hosting a cyber security roadshow which aims for bring people together to discuss and promote best practice. The Essex event is being held at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester on Wednesday, September 27.

The roadshow is part of a series of national cyber events being run by the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) and Metsi Technologies and hosted by regional crime units.

If you’re unable to make the roadshow but would like to know more about the risks posed by cyber-crime and what steps you can take to mitigate those risks then you may want to look at the resources that are available online. It’s best to stay informed and take preventative rather than reactionary steps in the world of cybersecurity. For example, this article that discusses MSSP vs. MDR is a good way to learn about the different managed cybersecurity solutions.

Even if you are part of a company that is looking to find ways to fight against cybersecurity, it may be worth doing some research into penetration testing services, as it could make it easier to identify common weaknesses across applications and just strengthen the security overall. This should be something every business should consider.

It’s a free event which aims to bring together cyber security experts, local business and law enforcement to promote best practice in the world of cyber security through a series of speakers and workshops. There is a full schedule available on their website as well as resources that can be viewed during the discussion panels.
