Essex & Suffolk Water volunteers took time out to help the Museum of Power look its best

A group of volunteers from Essex & Suffolk Water took time out to help the Museum of Power look its best ahead of events this weekend.

As part of the company’s ‘Make my day’ campaign, which is taking place from October 1-5 as part of Customer Service Week, the team dropped in to spend the day cleaning artefacts and tidying the historical site.

The visit will help ensure that the Museum of Power is ready to welcome guests for the Astaria Model Village Candlelight Illunimations on Friday (October 5), as well as the Model Exhibition and Steam Day on Sunday (October 7).

‘Make my day’ is aimed at showing appreciation and love for people and who contribute to making the communities of Essex and Suffolk special, whether it is through their everyday kindness or by having done something special.

Earlier this year, the company asked its customers and employees to nominate people or organisations that they felt deserved a treat and hundreds of suggestions came in. A panel of judges then tackled the tough task of deciding who the lucky recipients should be.
