Last week (6 and 7 December), families from across Cambridge marked the beginning of the festive season with the first instalment of Grand Arcade’s Mrs Claus Storytelling sessions, running from now until 21 December.
As a favourite among shoppers and families each year, the initial Mrs Claus’ Storytime sessions were a sell-out. However, with further sessions coming up every weekend until 21 December, shoppers will have several opportunities to immerse themselves into festive fairytale and ignite their imaginations this Christmas, with all proceeds being donated to Cambridge Carbon Footprint.
This year, Grand Arcade unveiled its new Christmas decorations, the first decoration refresh in three years. With illuminating hot air balloons, sparkling lights and dazzling clouds suspended from the ceiling, the centre creates an idyllic dream-like shopping experience for all visitors this Christmas.
Speaking about the return of Christmas to the Grand Arcade, Julie Kervadec, Marketing Manager at Grand Arcade, said: “We love Christmas at the Grand Arcade. Facilitating memorable moments and experiences for shoppers means a great deal to us, and Christmas is the perfect time to bring families together and make memories. Through our new decorations, we’ve created a dreamscape that is truly unique, alongside our events and interactive installations, so every shopper will find something that spreads the festive feeling this Christmas.”
With the Grand Arcade’s Christmas in the Air campaign in full swing, the centre is also providing shoppers the chance to make the most of its festive environment through its late-night shopping from 15 to 23 December.
