The F.Hinds team at Basildon’s Eastgate Centre have made a generous donation of gift vouchers to the council’s Christmas Gift Drive, helping to support teenagers through the Borough Council’s festive project.
The vouchers will go towards gifts and meaningful treats for five young people in the local area who may otherwise go without, ensuring more teenagers can enjoy a brighter festive season. The £100 donation forms part of a wider community effort to provide practical support at a time of year that can be especially challenging for families and young people.
By contributing to the gift drive, F.Hinds is helping Basildon Council to focus on teenagers this year – recognising that older children are often overlooked in seasonal appeals, despite needing the same care and kindness as everyone else at Christmas.
Stacey Reeve, Store Manager at F.Hinds Basildon (pictured) said: “We’re proud to support Basildon Council’s Christmas gift drive and help make a difference for local people. Christmas is about community, and we hope these vouchers bring joy and confidence to young people this festive season.”
The huge number of donations received by Basildon Borough Council for the Gift Drive will distributed at 42 festive events for vulnerable children, teens, families and adults who need them most, to bring some seasonal cheer in challenging times.
