Hot on the heels of the successful Late Night Light Up event, Your Billericay is gearing up for another exciting date in the town’s festive calendar, Small Business Saturday, taking place this Saturday 6th December.
As part of the nationwide initiative, shoppers who spend £30 or more in participating stores across Billericay will be able to collect a limited-edition Your Billericay branded bag for life throughout the day. The giveaway is designed to reward loyal customers while encouraging residents and visitors to continue supporting local businesses this Christmas season. To make the day even easier, FREE parking will be available in the council managed car park behind Iceland and in the Waitrose car park.
Shoppers are invited to collect their free branded bag for life from the Your Billericay gazebos, located outside The Chequers and The Red Lion on the High Street, between 9:30am and 5:30pm. To claim, visitors simply need to present receipts totalling £30 or more from participating small businesses.
Small Business Saturday, founded in partnership with American Express, is a UK-wide campaign that champions independent and small retailers. Its goal is to shine a spotlight on the crucial role these businesses play within communities, helping to boost trade, footfall, and local awareness.
Billericay’s High Street and surrounding areas are home to a thriving mix of independent boutiques, gift shops, cafés, salons, and service providers, each contributing to the town’s unique character and community feel. The BID’s participation in Small Business Saturday reinforces its ongoing commitment to supporting these valued businesses and driving footfall to the town centre.
