Billericay came together last night to celebrate its shining stars at a glittering Awards Evening, as the winners of the 2025 Billericay Community Awards were officially revealed.
Thousands of votes were cast to recognise the remarkable individuals, businesses, and organisations who go above and beyond to make Billericay such a special place to live, work and visit.
Organised by Your Billericay, the Community Awards honour those who bring positivity, care and creativity to the town – from inspiring teachers and dedicated volunteers to independent retailers and much-loved cafés making a difference every day.
Hosted by Radio Essex presenter Chris Brooks, the evening took place at Cristi’s Bar & Restaurant on Billericay High Street and was attended by finalists from across all categories. Each winner received a trophy, certificate, and £100 prize to spend with businesses within the Billericay BID area.

“We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the response to this year’s awards. The passion, pride and community spirit shown through the nominations and voting has been incredible. These awards shine a light on the people and businesses who make Billericay such a vibrant and welcoming place, and we’re proud to celebrate every one of our worthy winners.”
A spokesperson from Maggio Lounge commented, “We are truly honoured to receive the Your Billericay Community Award for Best Restaurant/ Café/ Bar. This recognition means a great deal to our entire team. While we’re proud to be part of a wider group, our heart has always been in the local community. Through our ongoing support for Hamelin Trust, Pussycat Lodge, and the local food bank, we’re committed to giving back and making a positive difference beyond our doors. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how much can be achieved when local businesses and the community work together. We’re grateful to our guests, partners, and the Billericay community for their continued support, this award belongs to all of you.”
Stuart Gibbs from Billericay Food Bank said, “It was fabulous to win and to share the evening with so many great people, all trying to make Billericay an even better place to live. Thank you to Your Billericay for the hard work in organising the event.”
This year’s Community Awards winners chose to pay their success forward by donating their £100 prizes to wonderful local causes. Maggio Lounge gifted their award to Pussycat Lodge, supporting rescued cats in need. Olive Branch passed their donation to the Billericay Food Bank, with Libby and Stuart proudly presenting the envelope. Creatures Great and Small chose to support HumanKind, helping to make a difference within our local community.
Richard added:
“There’s so much to be proud of in Billericay. As a BID, we’re committed to bringing vibrancy and vitality to the town and this continues in just a few weeks with our Late Night Light Up event on Thursday 27th November, followed by our celebration of Small Business Saturday on 6th December.”
