Bella Italia at Festival Leisure Park has proudly donated a large quantity of surplus pasta to Billericay Food Bank following the success of their recent “Bring Your Own Bag” promotion.
image005.jpgThe campaign invited diners to bring an unopened bag of dry pasta in exchange for a free pasta dish. The initiative proved hugely popular, with the restaurant becoming fully booked days in advance and customers showing overwhelming support.
After serving guests throughout the promotion, Bella Italia gathered the remaining unused pasta, eight boxes filled with varying amounts, and ensured it was donated directly to help support local families and individuals in need.
“We’re so pleased to contribute to Billericay Food Bank, especially as the community’s response to our promotion was so positive,” said a spokesperson from Bella Italia. “Being able to donate this surplus pasta is our way of giving back.”
The donation will strengthen food supplies at Billericay Food Bank, providing a versatile and much-needed staple ingredient for the community.

The Billericay Food Bank is a registered charity that helps the local community avoid food poverty and isolation, while preventing environmentally damaging food waste. They support over 100 households each week, ranging from large families to individuals living alone. The food bank operates without judgment and offers support to anyone in need, whether on a one-off or ongoing basis. Their mission is to move people out of poverty through not only food but also other support services aimed at bringing people out of the cycle of poverty.
