Community awards launched to recognise the best of Billericay

The Billericay Community Awards 2025 have officially launched this week in the town. The brand-new initiative, driven by the Billericay Business Improvement District team, is designed to celebrate and recognise the very best of the town’s businesses, individuals and community champions.
The awards shine a spotlight on those who make a real difference in Billericay, from hardworking employees and inspiring teachers to brilliant retailers and dedicated volunteers.
Categories for 2025 include:
Customer Care Award
Employee of the Year
Favourite Café, Restaurant & Bar
Favourite Hair, Beauty & Aesthetics Salon
Favourite Medical Practice
Favourite Professional Service
Favourite Retailer
Favourite Teacher in Billericay
Favourite Window Display
Volunteer of the Year supporting Billericay
Members of the public are encouraged to nominate and vote for their favourites online at yourbillericay.org, or by scanning QR codes displayed on posters in the High Street.
Each winner will receive a trophy and £100 to spend in the Your Billericay area, celebrating not just their achievement but also supporting the local high street.

Jim Brewin, Waitrose Store Manager and Billericay BID Director said, “The Billericay Community Awards are about celebrating the people and places that make our town special. From much-loved shops and cafés to the individuals who give their time and energy to others, these awards are our chance to say thank you and shine a light on their efforts.”
The awards will culminate in an exclusive awards night, bringing the community together to celebrate the winners and the heart of Billericay.
