Ellisons has announced a new round of senior promotions, strengthening its expertise across core practice areas.
Molly Frankham and Lauren Philpot have been promoted to Senior Associate, while Laura Read, Lewis Barber, Mark Stafford-White and Nathan Howe have been promoted to Associate. In addition, Emma Linger, has been promoted to Legal Director and becomes the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), a vital role overseeing professional and regulatory standards across the firm.
The promotions reflect Ellisons’ continued investment in its people and its commitment to delivering specialist legal advice across its offices in Essex and Suffolk.
This latest round follows the appointment of Amy Burton, Phil Slater and David Heller to the Partnership earlier this year, further reinforcing the firm’s depth of expertise.

Molly Frankham (Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution – Property Litigation): Molly advises on a wide range of property disputes, with particular expertise in long leasehold issues and building remediation under the Building Safety Act 2022. She is an accredited member of the Property Litigation Association.
Lauren Philpot (Senior Associate, Commercial Property): Lauren’s practice spans all aspects of commercial property, with particular expertise in acquisition and disposals, finance and landlord and tenant work. She is recognised for her proactive approach and ability to manage complex transactions smoothly.
Laura Read (Associate, Dispute Resolution – Contentious Trusts and Probate): Laura advises on complex disputes involving estates and trusts, including contentious probate claims. She is valued for her ability to guide clients through emotionally charged matters with clarity and sensitivity.
Lewis Barber (Associate, Rural Affairs): Lewis works with landowners, farmers and rural businesses on a wide range of matters, from land transactions to agricultural tenancies. His in-depth understanding of rural law and commercial approach makes him a trusted adviser to clients in the sector.
Mark Stafford-White (Associate, Medical Negligence): Mark represents clients in high-value and complex medical negligence claims. Known for his compassionate approach and technical skill, he helps clients navigate the legal process during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Nathan Howe (Associate, Commercial Property): Nathan advises on commercial property transactions including acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters. His pragmatic style and attention to detail enable him to deliver positive results for a wide range of clients
Emma Linger (Legal Director and COLP): Emma plays a central role in ensuring Ellisons maintains the highest professional and regulatory standards, providing guidance on compliance and governance across the firm.
