The nation’s cheapest supermarket[1] is extending its unique crisp offering — this time with exciting Indian inspired flavours ahead of National Curry Week which starts on 7th October.[2]

Brand-new to the aisles of Aldi are the deliciously fragrant Specially Selected Hand Cooked Bombay Potato Crisps (£1.15 150g). Crisp fanatics can experience the hearty crunch of Aldi’s hand cooked style crisp, married with a rich, Indian spice blend that boasts a warming kick. These deliciously flavoursome crisps are the ultimate way to embrace National Curry Week.

Spicing things up further are Aldi’s Specially Selected Hand Cooked Spiced Tikka Crisps (£1.15, 150g). Packed full of tantalising aromas and decadent flavours that will transport shoppers to the streets of New Delhi, these curry-inspired potato crisps are the perfect snack to enjoy with friends and family. Both flavours are available in stores from 3rd October.

For those looking to celebrate National Curry Week, Aldi is also extending its range of ready-to-go Indian inspired ready meals with the new Inspired Cuisine Bilash Curry range, available from 8th October. The NEW Bilash Cuisine Ruby Chicken Curry (£3.49, 400g) — which is a whopping 78% cheaper than Dishoom[3] — boasts tender chicken breast pieces marinated in a creamed rich tomato and onion ruby sauce with an addition of honey and a warming chilli kick.

If fish is the preferred dish, try Aldi’s NEW Bilash Cuisine Goan Style Prawn Curry (£3.49, 400g) influenced by numerous cultures from over the centuries including Brazilian, African, French, Malaysian and most notably Portuguese. Every Goan dish must have the four important elements to make it complete, so these succulent prawns are marinated in just the right mix of sweet, sour, spice and salt to create a melt-in-the-mouth meal — all for under a fiver.

Aldi has meat-free shoppers covered with its NEW Bilash Paneer & Vegetable Kofta Curry (£3.49, 400g) — a wonderfully creamy vegetable curry boasting a rich onion and tomato-based sauce. These punchy and fragrant dishes are also available in other flavours including Keralan Chicken, Chicken Phal, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka and Lamb Rogan Josh.
