Cambridge fundraiser and charity founder is celebrating after being awarded a ‘Takeaway Getaway’ by Ant and Dec on last week’s ITV Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway.

John Willis, founder of disability and inclusion charity, Power2Inspire, was born without fully formed arms and legs, has made it his mission to ensure no one is left on the bench when it comes to sport, like he was as a child.

John set up charity, Power2Inspire, to ensure everyone no matter their age, disability, gender or ethnicity can be included in adapted and inclusive sport for all.

Last summer, John paddled 108 miles in a kayak from Eton Dorney to Cricklade to raise money for the charity, and to show that anything is possible.

John was surprised last week live on ITV with a ‘Takeaway Getaway’ by Ant and Dec to reward him for all his efforts in promoting inclusivity within sport.

John Willis, Founder and Fundraiser, Power2Inspire said:

“It was honour to be invited along to Ant and Dec’s wonderful prime-time Saturday night TV show. What a fantastic, wholesome 90 minutes of fun, thrill and frivolous entertainment – and even better to be recognised and awarded!

“I have spent over a decade promoting inclusive sport and showing people that anything is possible – so it was wonderful to highlight the charity live to over 18 million viewers and I look forward to continuing to help show that sport is for all.”
