The British Fashion Council (BFC) is excited to announce that The Fashion Awards 2023 (TFA) presented by Pandora will be hosted by British broadcaster Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical. The Fashion Awards Red Carpet LIVE served by smartwater will be hosted by iconic American image architect Law Roach and fashion commentator Julia Hobbs. The event will take place on Monday 4th December 2023, returning to the iconic London venue the Royal Albert Hall.

Host of culturally influential television programmes and radio shows, Maya Jama’s career has seen astronomical success over the past decade where she has not only excelled on screen, but also off screen as a successful entrepreneur. Throughout her career, Maya has been a constant supporter of British fashion, the face of luxury brand campaigns and has graced the cover of publications from British Vogue to Sunday Times Style. British musician Kojey Radical is at the forefront of a generation of young artists who have pushed underground Black music into the mainstream. Kojey is an authentic and uncompromising creative force. He is constantly evolving and blurring boundaries as he moves from rap, funk, spoken word and poetry to fashion, art and film with an almost effortless fluidity.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council, said: “We are thrilled to announce the brilliant Maya Jama and Kojey Radical as hosts for The Fashion Awards 2023 presented by Pandora as we focus this year on celebrating British creativity and leadership. The two are pioneers in their respective industries and represent fashion’s position at the intersection of culture. I look forward to seeing their dynamic energy on stage as we celebrate the many achievements of the fashion industry this year.”

This year, the iconic TFA red carpet will continue to be a focal point of the night, with image architect Law Roach hosting the Red Carpet LIVE served by smartwater. Law, who was named The Hollywood Reporter’s Most Powerful Stylist in both 2021 and 2022, has worked with a host of prominent actors, musicians and athletes including Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Megan Thee Stallion and Tom Holland. Law will be in conversation live from the red carpet with pioneers from fashion, music and entertainment. Supporting Law, fashion commentator Julia Hobbs will return to the red carpet, bringing her spirited approach to the fashion conversation throughout the night.

The Fashion Awards Red Carpet LIVE served by smartwater will go live from 6:30pm GMT on Monday 4th December across BFC social channels. Caroline Rush, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council, said: “We are delighted to work with smartwater on The Fashion Awards Red Carpet LIVE to bring the unparalleled glamour of carpet to everyone at home. The Fashion Awards is the principal fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and aims to raise funds to support the pipeline of creative talent. Having worked with smartwater and Zendaya this year on a brilliant campaign to celebrate 30 years of BFC NEWGEN, the BFC’s leading designer support initiative, this felt like a perfect partnership opportunity. I look forward to hearing the conversations between Law, Julia and the guests on the night.”
