Reacting to c2c’s announcement that their work nears completion on contactless pay as you go for its customers– Iain McNab, Head of Policy for the Essex Chambers of Commerce said:

“Essex Chambers of Commerce welcomes the announcement by our Patrons, C2C, that it is shortly to extend the contactless payment facility (‘tap in and tap out’) to all 26 stations on the network between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness.

“Currently contactless payment is only available at the 11 stations within the Greater London boundary. The extension will benefit residents, leisure and business travellers by offering more choice and flexibility in ticket purchasing, as well as potential time savings.”
