Get your saddles and equestrian headgear at the ready as this Bank Holiday Monday (28th August), Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate will be hosting its first ever horse hacking event for avid riders.

Taking place exclusively on 28th August, guests and their trusty steed will be invited to hack around a specially marked out trail, set across the hotel’s stunning 110 acres of woodlands and gardens, making it the most picturesque setting for a countryside ride.

Whether it’s a trot, gallop or canter, guests will be given a set time slot to have an exclusive horse tour (in pairs or trios) over different terrains within the hotel’s stunning grounds, allowing them to explore the beautiful surroundings and greenery Down Hall has to offer.

And if that’s not enough, guests will be offered a well-fuelled brunch ahead of their hack with classic brunch dishes curated by Down Hall’s Executive Chef Robert Pearce, served in the hotel’s 2 AA Rosette Garden Room Restaurant.

Riders and horses will be encouraged to wear their best attire for the occasion as there will be prizes for the best dressed duo.

Those wanting to continue their day in classic British style will be invited to enjoy Down Hall’s traditional English Afternoon Tea in the luxurious Lounge after the hack, whilst horses are watered and well looked after with carrots from the home-grown Kitchen Garden.

Priced from £95 per horse and rider, tickets also include brunch, with Afternoon Tea priced at an additional £40 per person and £20 per child. It will be £5 per spectator to watch the horse hacking event.
