Celebrate Midsummer at IKEA with a three-course meal for £7.95

IKEA Wembley has announced it will be offering three-course meals for just £7.95 on Thursday 22nd June as part of its Midsummer celebrations – one of Sweden’s most celebrated holidays of the year.

The delicious meal will include IKEA’s iconic meatballs, plantballs or veggieballs, along with a starter, dessert and a hot or cold soft drink. Events include traditional Swedish Midsummer activities, such as flower crown making and maypole dancing – as well flower wreath making workshops.

A full list of activities taking place at IKEA during the Midsummer celebrations include:

· Midsummer restaurant event: a three-course meal available for just £7.95. The meal will include marinated salmon, tomato and mozzarella or a salad bowl, meatballs, plantballs or veggieballs, Daim cake, apple cake or vegan lemon cheesecake, while kids can enjoy pasta with tomato sauce, a soft drink and a jelly for just 95p.
· Midsummer flower crowns: when it comes to Midsummer, headdresses are not just optional attire – they’re essential! Customers can celebrate and learn the Swedish tradition of making their own floral headband and the history behind the tradition.
· Midsummer maypole dancing: customers can enjoy traditional maypole dancing to immerse themselves in the midsummer celebrations.
· Local entertainment: Select stores will also feature entertainment from across the local community. Customers can find further information as to who on their local store’s events page.

To join in the celebrations, customers can sign up online or ask for physical tickets from the IKEA restaurant in-store.
