The sun has finally arrived, and so begins the race to secure a spot in one of the best beer gardens in London for an after work drink or a bite to eat.

This summer, look no further than The Colonel Fawcett, Camden’s award-winning independent pub and pizzeria. Located a short walk away from Camden Town, the pub boasts two beautiful gardens at the front and back with a real sun trap to soak up the sunshine and sip on a refreshing Gin & Tonic.

As the days get longer and the evenings get warmer there’s nothing more enjoyable than a crisp open-air pint outdoors and The Colonel Fawcett have an impressive range of local lager, home-brewed beer and craft ales on tap, as well as 30+ varieties of gin. A not-to-be-missed Happy Hour runs Tuesday – Friday until 7pm so there’s no excuse not to enjoy the sun.

If you’re feeling peckish, The Colonel is also home to Neapolitan pizza legends 081 Pizzeria. They’ll be serving up their iconic authentic and airy pizzas and Napoli tapas from the kitchen, so foodies can pair their favourite pizza with a pint.

Once the sun goes in, head inside as The Colonel Fawcett have recently launched its brand new social darts lanes – Camden Darts Club. Expect three interactive darts lanes plus a contactless pool table in their games room upstairs, keeping guests entertained till the early hours. Bookings are from just £25 per hour and they can accommodate for groups of up to 12 people.

Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm; open late on Wednesday – Saturday (12am on Wednesday & Thursday, and 1am on Friday and Saturday).
