Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City are proud to announce the inaugural launch of the
Westfield Good Festival which will take place simultaneously at both London centres from 26th May to 4th June 2023. The festival aims to educate and inspire visitors of all ages on their sustainability journey with a host of exciting events, hands-on
experiences and product showcases on how to shop more sustainably and help make a positive impact on the environment.

With consumers becoming increasingly concerned about the impact their purchases have on the planet, Westfield – in collaboration with brands and organisations doing good for the earth – will showcase how visitors can take positive
steps to support a more sustainable future in an interactive way.

At the heart of the Westfield Good Festival is the
Sustainable Studio; an immersive space that will bring together three worlds of curated experiences:
The Mindful Market, Gastronomy For Good, and Local + Lo-Fi. Each world will be packed with free and bespoke sustainability inspired experiences such as a food waste cooking, micro farm and wormeries, pre-loved fashion and upcycling workshops,
as well as local music performances – plus more.

FASHION: The Mindful Market

Step into The Mindful Market and discover a shopping experience like no other. Say goodbye to your usual retail routine and embrace a new way of shopping that’s kinder to the planet. With a range of sustainable fashion partners,
The Mindful Market is a resale haven for those who love a good vintage find and unearthing new-found treasures. Among other brands and activities, this space will house:

Verte – a London-based clothes-swapping brand with the ultimate purpose of slowing the impact of fashion on the planet by extending the lifespan of clothes. Depending on the quality of each item you bring to the swap, Verte will give you a corresponding number of tokens (digital of course!). They will have a sliding scale, from high-street to luxury, so no one loses out. Start shopping with your tokens as currency and they will replenish the stock throughout each day so that no one misses out!
Lone Design Club – launching “The Glass House” pop-up experience across the month of May, featuring a range of young and innovative sustainable fashion and lifestyle brands. Alongside the immersive retail offering, Lone Design Club will host a programme of events to bring the community together, some of which will take place on the Lo-Fi stage. Visitors can participate in a full schedule of free events, including workshops, talks and styling sessions, all aimed at educating and inspiring conscious shopping and include a talk on sustainability in the industry from Lone Design Club’s CEO, Rebecca Morter, who will be joined by other thought leaders.

FOOD: Gastronomy For Good

Get ready to tantalise your taste buds with a rotating food programme that will highlight the latest sustainable food trends! This innovative space will feature hydroponic Farmstands and will take your culinary journey to the next
level. In addition to enjoying the delicious culinary delights, visitors can also learn how to grow their own produce at home and make a tangible difference in the fight against food waste and the preservation of the planet.

Gastronomy-themed events include:
Too Good To Go – co-founder, Jamie Crummie, will talk good consumption and reimagining food, as well as chefs showcasing recipes and demonstrating how to re-use food waste.
Square Mile Farms – a display of farmstands will allow visitors to reconnect with food through micro-farming, whilst also teaching workshops focused on the benefits of growing from food scraps.

ENTERTAINMENT: Local and Lo-Fi

Get ready to be entertained at Local and Lo-Fi – a multi-use entertainment space that celebrates all things local. From live music performances, workshops for kids and beyond, this unique zone showcases a range of locally sourced
experiences that demonstrate how entertainment doesn’t have to harbour a large technological footprint.

Live daily events to include:
Iced Gem events – kids can get hands-on with seeded paper crafts and make whimsical creations with recycled cardboard. Don’t miss the brand-new wormery at Westfield London’s Nature Reserve, with an exciting presentation from Ester the Beekeeper.
