Harlow Council is proposing to set up a community lottery to help raise money for good causes in the town.

A report which proposes setting up a lottery is set to go to the council’s next cabinet meeting.

Councillor Russell Perrin, Leader of Harlow Council, said:

“There are many councils across the country who work with private operators to run a weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in and around the area they serve. Proposals are being finalised in Harlow where residents would be able to nominate good causes which would benefit from a weekly community lottery. All good causes supported by the lottery would benefit Harlow and its residents.”
